Alterable

Alterable makes email images that change based on who opens them and when. Build a piece of content once, paste one HTML snippet into your template, and Alterable renders a fresh image for every open.

What you can build:

- Countdown timers: animated GIF timers for launches, sales and events. They count down from the moment the email is opened and switch to a fallback image once the deadline passes.
- Dynamic images: show a different image based on the reader's device, location, local weather, time of day, day of the week, date or language. Rules are set in a visual editor with a default that always applies.
- Dynamic products: rotate product blocks with the same rule engine, so a promotion features the stock, price or creative that fits each reader.
- Local maps: a map of the nearest store or venue, generated from the subscriber's location, with your own pins.
- Scratch-and-win cards: gamified reveals that work inside the inbox, with configurable odds, prizes and an exportable play log.
- One-click surveys and polls: readers vote straight from the email. Results update in your dashboard.

Alterable is ESP-agnostic. The embed code works in any email tool that accepts HTML, and the merge-tag helper prefills subscriber fields for Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Brevo, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, ConvertKit, Drip, GetResponse, Iterable, MailerLite, Marketo and AWeber. There is a REST API, native Zapier and Make apps, and an MCP server so you can manage content from an AI assistant.

Static images look the same to everyone. Alterable lets a small marketing team ship personalization that usually needs an engineering project: weather-triggered creative, region-specific offers, accurate urgency, and interactive moments that lift clicks without a landing page. Impressions and engagement are tracked per piece of content.
