Abipreppi

Abipreppi is a study app for Finnish upper secondary students preparing for the ylioppilaskirjoitukset, the national matriculation examination. It contains 800 tasks taken from real exams set between 2023 and 2026, across nine subjects: advanced and basic mathematics, English, physics, history, social studies, biology, psychology and the Finnish reading-comprehension test. Every task comes with the app's own worked explanation plus the examination board's official description of a good answer, so students see not only the right answer but why it scores.

Tasks are served in short sets and resurfaced with spaced repetition, so weak areas come back until they stick. An exam simulation mode runs a full paper under the real time limit, and a grade estimator maps a practice score onto the official grade thresholds for each exam session, giving students a realistic read on where they stand months before the real thing.

The app is free with ads, and all tasks and explanations are included in the free version. A one-time purchase removes ads, and an optional AI teacher mode is available on a monthly, per-exam-session or yearly subscription. Abipreppi is available in Finnish and Swedish on iOS and Android, and is an independent service not affiliated with the Matriculation Examination Board or Yle.
